Celebrating Rubber Duckies~!

 

I have always been fascinated with bathroom toys as growing up my household did not have a bath. On the T.V. the depiction of a happy little creature floating among bubbles warmed my heart and always made me feel safe and loved, just like the kids in those commercials. 

So this year for Rubber Duckie day, I decided to create 5 illustrations dedicated to this adorable 

creature that sits on top of bodies of water and brings a little sunshine and optimism to my heart

everything I think about it. 

This design was inspired by an old japanese wood print design for kimonos
